Funeral services for George F. Havens, 73, a resident of the Warba-Wabana Community since 1915, were held Mon from the Libbey Funeral Home.
Pastor Duane Schendel of Warba conducted services, and interment was in Itasca Cemetery. Mr. Havens died Apr 7 at his home. He was born November 1, 1887, in Indiana, and was married November 24, 1907 to Mayme Elizabeth Blair in Lawrenceville, IL. Mrs. Havens died September 27, 1954. They moved to Warba in 1915 and farmed there until moving to Wabana Lake in 1941. He had been active in the Farm Bureau.
Survivors include four sons, Donald and Beryl of St. Paul, Merl of Medford, OK and Royal of Oklahoma City; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. William Blocher of Bluffton, IN, Mrs. Charles Cronin of Bridgeport, IL, and Mrs. Kenneth Conover of Largo, FL.
