George A. "Spike" Wells, 52, of Kalkaska passed away on Jan 4, 2003, at Hurley Medical Center in Flint.
He was born on Aug 7, 1950, in Frankfort, the son of George and Patricia (Keiler) Wells.
George married Jeralynn "Jeri" M Baker on Feb 14, 1998, in Naples, FL.
Leaving to mourn his death is his loving family, including wife, Jeri; children, Tom Wells and Lindsey Wells, both of Frankfort; step children, Theresa (Don) Abbey of Kalkaska, John (Pam) Powell of Eastpointe, Tonya (Arte) Krumm of Kalkaska, and Mary Margaret (Paul Mullins) Cummer of Tazewell, TN; 16 grandchildren; father, George Arthur Wells of FL; grandmother Arivilla Stoner of Sebring, FL; sisters, Brenda (Larry) Richard of Alpena, Kathy (Terry) Armstrong of Bay City, Phyllis (Blane Smith) Lamay of Hickory, NC, Holly (Jerry) Schober of Naples, FL; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews; and his best friends - Chipper, Big Bird, Patches, and Big Gulp.
Spike was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, and a nephew.
There will be a graveside service on Sat, Jun 7, 2003, at 11 am at St Mary of the Woods Cemetery for family and friends.
Memorials may be given in behalf of Spike to Hurley Medical Center Burn Unit or the grandchildren.
