Gayle Lynn Meyers, 51, of Port Huron Twp., as this soul came to be known this time, has completed this life’s quest and moved on to a new adventure on October 28, 2010. She was blessed to be born the sixth child of nine, to the late Neva (Cronce) and Alfred (Percy) Meyers, on March 31, 1959. Gayle was given the honor and privilege of being entrusted with the care and guidance of two cherished souls, Burgundy Alyssa West and Pazely Azure West. She worked in the Purchasing/ Inventory Control area of several local automotive companies including Huron Manufacturing, Inc., Masco Tech/Advanced Accessories, and the corporate headquarters of Blue Water Plastics, Inc. from September 1994 until October 2008, when the company closed. Gayle practiced yoga with Judy Michaels and studied Eastern Dance under Dawna Robertson, “Isis”, of “Queen of the Nile” Bellydance school. Nothing was more important to Gayle than her family and friends. She touched the lives of many , and her home was the hub of many family activities and celebrations. Gayle is survived by her daughters, Burgundy (Kyle Stephens) and Pazely West, and her siblings, Judy Vandewarker, Marcia (Tim) Turner, Alfred Meyers, Greg (Terri) Meyers, Victor Meyers, Paul (Samantha) Meyers, Brent (Terri) Meyers, and Eric (Jennifer) Meyers. Upon Gayles request her body was donated to the University of Michigan Medical School, where creamation will take place upon study completion. A dinner and fundraiser sponsored by the Keith Peterson Cancer Foundation benefiting Gayle’s daughters will take place on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 5:30p.m. at Alexander’s Banquet Center in Marysville. In addition, a memorial open house for friends and family will be held Sunday, November 21, 2010 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Port Huron Township DPW Hall (West Water and Beach Road).
