Gary E. Farr, 42, of Kalkaska died Fri, Jan 28, 2005, of injuries suffered in a snowmobile accident in Crawford County.
Gary resided in California until 1970, when he moved to Kalkaska. He was a 1980 graduate of Kalkaska High School, and at the time of his death was employed by Michigan Wireline. He enjoyed fishing and snowmobiling, and was co-director of the National Bass Anglers Association and vice president of the Bellaire Bass Busters. He was a loving father, and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Gary was born in Howell on Oct 8, 1962, the son of Gary and Jenny Durham Farr. On Sep 21, 1984, in Kalkaska, he was united in marriage with Susannah Hansen who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by daughters, Ashley, Jessica, and Alysha, all at home; parents, Gary and Jenny Farr of Kalkaska; brothers, Robert (Sonya) of OK, and Wayne (Chelle) and Lonnie (Machelle), both of Kalkaska; sisters, Jackie (Art) Rapoza and Janet Meeker, both of Kalkaska; his maternal grandmother, Wanna Durham of Kalkaksa; mother in law, Susannah Hansen of Kalkaska; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Feb 1, 2005, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. The Rev. Paul Karges officiated. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
