Fredrick C Wagenschutz, 84, of Kalkaska, died Jan 5, 2002, in Zephyrhills, FL. He was born May 28, 1917, in Kalkaska to Edwin and Celestia Wagenschutz.
He served in the US Navy during WWII and was a retired surveyor from the State of Michigan.
He was preceded in death in 1992 by his wife, M. Joy (Crane), to whom he was married on Oct 22, 1938. Also preceding him in death were two brothers, John and Clyde, and sister Myrtle Wagenschutz (Anthony).
He is survived by sisters, Dorethy Wagenschutz (Clark), Minnie Wagenschutz (Kenel) and Thelma Wagenschutz (Ball), all of Kalkaska. Also surviving are his children Karen (Brian) Brady of NV, Lloyd and Janet Wagenschutz of OR, Dennis and Kathy Wagenschutz of Chelsea, and Rudy and Alicia Wagenschutz of Marion; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date pending better weather.
