Leeck, Frederick W., age 84, died Sunday, August 30, 1992 at his residence. Funeral services will be 1pm Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 402 S. Ballenger, Flint, Pastor Donovan J. Sprick officiating. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Linden.

Friends may call at the Miles Martin Funeral home all day Tuesday. Mr. Leeck will be taken to the church on Wednesday to lie in state from 12 noon until time of services at 1pm.

Mr. Leeck was born February 2, 1908 in Alpena, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick William and Anna (Dimond) Leeck. He married Frida Harriman Locke January 14, 1956. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Veteran of WWII, serving with the US Army in the European Theatre and the Pacific Theatre. Mr. Leeck retired in 1977 from GI Roofing in Flint, which he owned and operated since the late 1940’s. While in business, he was active with the East Flint Optimist Club and the Eastside Businessmen’s Association. Mr. Leeck was an avid outdoorsman. He moved to the country so he could have his small farm. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are: wife, Frida; 2 children, Bonnie and husband Dale Foltz of Sunfield, Michigan, Patricia Lewis of Flint; 7 grandchildren, Patrick and wife Diane Foltz, Terry and husband Rusty Dennis, LeeAnn Francis, Michael Lewis, Mark and wife Debra Lewis, Barbara and husband Matthew Gregson, Lisa and cousin Carl Pepper; 13 great grandchildren; mother Anna Leeck of Alpena. He was 1 of 12 children; 6 sisters, Bessie Eagle, Evelyn Grablick, Shirley Zimmerman, Ellen Mddaugh, Janet Smith, Ann Hubbard; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his 5 brothers.
