Frederick R. Lake, 68, of Williamsburg, died Thursday at Munson Medical Center. A lifetime resident of the TC area, he was a member of the Salvation army citadel, a member of the Civilian conservation Corps in 1935, a former volunteer parole officer and a former officer in the City Credit Union.
He was born June 30, 1917, in GT county to Leamon and Rose (Aeschliman) Lake. He was married Feb. 1, 1936, to Margaret Annis, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Therowin (skip) and David of W-burg and Howard of TC; a daughter, Shirley of W-burg; four brothers, Leamon, Edward and Carl, all of W-burg, and Dale of TC; four sisters, Ida Umlar of TC, Alice Brooke of Manton, Virginia Baynton of Buckley and Rose Mary Kluth of TC; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers Charlie and John, and a sister, Lucile Nichols.
Burial will be in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens, ETC…..
