Frederick N Peters, age 64, of Canton, passed away suddenly Wed afternoon at his home. He was born in Canton, a son of the late Lucile Gang Bohl, and a life resident. Fred was a 1962 graduate of Lincoln High School, also a graduate of Kent State University, and received his MBA Degree from the University of Akron. He retired in 2003 as Director of the Industrial Park Plant of the Hoover Co, after having joined the company in 1968, and held several supervisory positions within production. Since his retirement he has been able to really enjoy hunting and fishing. He and Nancy also enjoyed looking for antiques. Fred was a member of Rivertree Christian Church, where he led a Bible study small group for many years. He was a member and Past President of the Lincoln Alumni Association, and also a member of the Hoover Bass Club, Leadership Canton, William McKinley Lodge #431, F & AM, and the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Canton. Preceded in death by an infant daughter, Carrie Ann Peters, on Mar 28, 1968, and a brother in law, Jerry R Boone. Survived by wife and high school sweetheart, Nancy C (Boone) Peters, with whom he celebrated their 46th Wedding Anniversary on Sep 28; one daughter and son in law, Carrie Ann’s twin, Kristen and Scott Danniger, of Avon Lake, OH; two sons and a daughter in law, Colin and Karla Peters, of Lebanon, OH and Kelly Peters of Canton; five grandchildren, Michael Crawford, Zara Balbo, William and Ethan Danniger, and Claire Peters; one sister and brother in law, Nancy and John Temme of East Rochester, OH; Brothers in law and sisters in law, Charles and Pam Boone, Don an dLedia Boone, Lonie and Patty Boone, Lorie and Rick Miller; several nieces and nephews including, Leisyl and Lindley Boone, Chase and Jill Boone, Alexandra and Noah Miller; and his beloved Black Lap, Ike.
Services will be conducted Mon at 11 am in the Formet-Clevenger & Grodon Funeral Home with Minister Larry Burgett officiating. Interment in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Sun 3 to 6 pm. Masonic Services will be held at 2:45 pm Sun in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Fred’s memory may be made to the Kristen Peters Danniger Lung Transplant Fund at any First Merit Bank. Fred’s legacy lives on with his gift of sight through eye donation.
