Frederick D. Adams, 76, of Kalkaska, died Sun, Jan 17, 1999, at his home.
Mr. Adams was born in Detroit on Oct 23, 1922, son of the late Harry and Mary Hance Adams.
He married Virginia Carroll in Alliance, NE, on Jun 24, 1943. She died Feb 17, 1994.
Mr. Adams resided in Inkster until moving to Kalkaska in 1978. He was a retired sales representative. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, where he received the Purple Heart. He was a member of Land O'Lakes VFW Post 8684 and Twin Birch Golf Club. He enjoyed fishing and golf.
Surviving are sons Frederick Adams of Eagle River, AK, and Mark Adams of Williamston, SC; daughters Gayle Clancey of Quincy and Marsha (Marty) Lang of Williamsburg; brothers Kenneth Adams of St. Helen and Harold Klein of Detroit; 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Brothers Harry and James preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Jan 20 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska; Rev Charles Stanley officiated. Cremation followed funeral services.
Military rites were conducted by Land O'Lakes VFW Post 8684.
