Fred M. Allison Sr, 68, of South Boardman, died Sat, Dec 21, 1991 at Grand Traverse Community Hospital.
Mr. Allison resided in Aurora, IL for 20 years prior to moving to South Boardman two years ago. He was a manufacturing engineer, and retired from White Consolidated in 1983. He had served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Mr. Allison was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, the Boardman Township Fire Department, a past president of Southwestern Michigan Chapter, Society of Manufacturing Engineers, Vice Commander of American Legion Post 463, a director of U.S. 131 Association, and a director and treasurer of 131 KanDo
Mr. Allison was born in St. Louis, MO on Sep 11, 1923 to Donald and Catherine Conley Allison. On Dec 31, 1954, in Muskegon, he was married to Viola Roys who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Ronald Allison of Lenexa, KS, Fred Allison Jr of Pontiac, Michael Allison of Montgomery, IL; two stepsons, Charles Roys of Aurora, IL and John Roys of DeMott, IN; one daughter, Terrie Allison of South Boardman; his mother Catherine Allison of Kalksaka; one brother Donald Allison of Brooksville, FL; 15 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Memorial services were held Sat, Dec 28, 1991 at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church. Fr. Patrick Barrett officiated.
Memorial contributions may be made to Kalkaska Memorial Health Center Long Term Care Unit or the Boardman Township Fire Department.
