Jennings (Jack) Babcock, 72 a resident here 61 years, died unexpectedly Thursday in McKenzie Memorial Hospital, Sandusky.
He was born Dec 25, 1896, in Port Huron and married the former Ethel Clapsaddle on Nov 29, 1917, in Snover.
He was treasurer of the Thomas School for several years.
Surviving is his widow, a son, Lanny, Sandusky, three daughters, Mrs. Robert Rich and Mrs. Donald Bennett, both of Sandusky, Mrs. Virginia Wills, Southgate, a brother, Ardell, Sandusky, a sister, Mrs. Alma Conlan, Hazel Park, 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.
The remains are in Mavis Funeral Home, Sandusky, where services will be held at 2 pm Sunday with Rev. Horace L. James, pastor of the Sandusky First United Presbyterian Church officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Sandusky.
