Frank S. DiRosa, 88, of Mancelona, died Oct 26, 1998, at Meadow Brook Medical Center in Bellaire.
Mr. DiRosa resided in Detroit until 21 years ago, when he moved to Kalkaska County. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a chef in various restaurants. He was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, and enjoyed gardening.
Born in Italy on Jun 11, 1910, he was the son of Vincent and Concetta Francisco DiRosa. On Oct 20, 1934, in Detroit, he married Julianna Sav, who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by son Vincent (Jim) and wife Judy DiRosa of Mancelona; daughter Connie (Jim) Marion of Grand Blanc; brother Sam DiRosa of Wixom; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Sisters Felicia, Louisa, and Mary preceded him in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Oct 30 at St Mary of the Woods Catholic Church. Father Walter Derylo officiated. Burial was in Coldsprings Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
Arrangements were made by Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska.
