Frank Kendall, 89, of Mesick, died Thu, Dec 25, 2014, at Birchwood Nursing Center in Traverse City. He was born Mar 25, 1925, in Detroit, the son of Fred and Ida Kendall.
Frank was a veteran of the US Marine Corps. He served his country honorably during WWII.
Frank was a self-employed auto mechanic and a jack of all trades. In his spare time, he loved to fish, play horseshoes, and go camping. He was a joy to be around, and was rarely found without a grandchild or a dog by his side. Frank will be remembered as a hard worker who loved his family. Frank is survived by his children: David (Mary Jo) Kendall of Mesick, Sonya (Kendall) Spoor of Mesick, Pamela (Dennis Dore) Kendall of Traverse City, Brian (Sue) Kendall of Cadillac, and Frank Kendall of Mesick; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and his beloved dog, BB.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Mary Kendall, and his parents.
Graveside services will be held at the Marilla Township Cemetery in the Spring.
The Terwilliger Funeral Home, in Kaleva, is in charge of arrangements.
