Frank Dzuris, Sr., 89, of Kalkaska, died Sun, May 21, 1995, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Dr. Dzuris moved to Kalkaska 21 years ago from Rochester. He retired from Pontiac Motors in 1967, and had been a member of the Rochester First Baptist Church. He enjoyed construction, traveling, baseball, and hockey.
Born in Detroit, on Dec 7, 1905, he was the son of Peter and Dorothy Smar Dzuris. On Jan 23, 1952, in Rochester, he married Ethel Cowan who survives.
Also surviving are son Frank Dzuris, Jr. of Rochester; daughters, Joan Alverson of Grand Marais, and Carolyn Muckenhim of Troy; sister Frances Anderson of Sterling Heights; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.
Son James; brothers Peter Jr, and Joseph; and sisters Helen Gajda and Catherine Dzuris, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Thu, May 25, 1995, at the Pixley Funeral Home in Rochester. Pastor James Hagler will officiate. Burial will be in the Christian Memorial Cultural Center, Rochester.
