Marlette Resident dies of pneumonia
Marlette, April 12 – Funeral services were held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the home of Mrs. NelsonTapson, of Marlette, for her father, Frank Jeffers, 69, who died Saturday of pneumonia. Rev. Fred A. Andrews of the Methodist Episcopal church officiated and interment was made in the Brown City cemetery.
Mr. Jeffers is survived by his widow, Anne; two sons, Pearl Jeffers of Hastings, Nebraska, and Robert Jeffers, of Harbor Beach; two daughters, Mrs. Nelson Tapson, of Marlette, and Mrs. Ellis Stacey, of Brown City, and 15 grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Jeffers had made their home with their daughter, Mrs. Nelson Tapson for the past six years. April 1939
