Francis L Bedard, 86, of Fife Lake, passed away on Fri, Dec 14, 2007 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. Born on Jun 7, 1921, in Sault Ste Marie, he is the son of the late William and Aurlia (Myotte) Bedard.
Francis was a veteran of WWII serving our country in the US Navy. He married Marilee Matice on Aug 9, 1947, in Oakland County. Together they moved to Fife Lake in 1976, after Francis retired as an engineer for GM. Francis was an avid golfer, woodcraftsman, and excelled at whatever he did. He was the strength of the family, a man of great faith and integrity. Francis was a member of the St Aloysius Church in Fife Lake.
Surviving Francis is his loving wife, Marilee of 60 years; his daughters, Judy Bedard of Marquette, Jill Bedard of Fife Lake, Patricia Bowen of Nobelsville, IN, and Annette Bedard of Fife Lake; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and his brother, Joe Bedard of Fife Lake.
Preceding Francis in death were his 11 brothers and sisters.
A memorial mass was held on Mon, Dec 17, at St Aloysius Catholic Church in Fife Lake. Reverend James Barrand officiated.
