Francis J. Meehan, passes at home Thu. Age 62, passed away at his home in Kalkaska early Thu morning.
Mr. Meehan was born at Donaldson, MI, on Jun 6, 1894, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Meehan. He lived at Kinross for 30 years, and for the past 7 years has spent in Kalkaska an employee of the State Highway Department.
He was a member of the St. Joseph Church at Rudyard, MI.
Surviving with his widow, Mildred; are two daughers, Mrs. Dwight Dear, and Mrs. Gordon Carver, both of Flint; 5 sons, Wilfred, with the Coast Guard in Seattle, WA, John of Dafter, William of Sault Ste. Marie, Jerome and Morris both at home; 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.
Mr. Meehan was removed to the Berg-Scwartz Funeral Home in Kalkaska where he will lie in state until Sat at which time he will be taken to the Bailey-Newhouse Funeral Home at Sault Ste. Marie. Funeral services will be held from the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at Rudyard at 10:30am and burial will be made at Kinross cemetery.
