Francis "Ted" Blue, Jr, 57, of Kalkaska, passed away on Tue, Jun 3, 2008 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. He was born on Jan 23, 1951 in Lansing, the son of the late Francis Theodore and Patricia Barcelow Bluer Sr.
Ted married Virginia Soderquist on Oct 21, 1971 in Gaylord. He was a truck driver for 1st Choice Trucking & Rental. Ted was a trustee of the Kalkaska Baptist Church and was recently saved. Ted was a devoted husband and family man who always put the needs of his loved ones first. He was very dedicated to his family and worked hard making sure they were all taken care of. Ted loved the outdoors, especially taking nature walks, fishing, NASCAR, wood working, and bird watching. His all time favorite activity was spoiling his grandchildren.
Ted is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Virginia; his wonderful children, Francis Theodore (Cathy) Bluer IV of Fife Lake, Mark Allen Blue of Saginaw, and Justin William (Shannon) Blue of Kalkaska; his cherished grandchildren, BreHanna Helleane, Branden Allen, Christopher Michael, Austin Ryan, Natilyn Grace, Joshua Leo, Francis Theodore "Teddy" V, and Cathreanne Marie; siblings, David (Donna) Bluer and Cyndi Winton of Kalkaska.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Tracey Leah Bluer; and siblings, JoAnn Barrett and Charlie Bluer.
A memorial service for Ted will be held Sat, Jun 14, 2008 at 10:30 am at the Kalkaska Baptist Church with Pastor Walter Skrine officiating.
Arrangements were made by the Cremation and Burial Society of Michigan.
