Frances Eileen Foote of Bay City, formerly of Midland, passed away peacefully Saturday evening Dec 22, 2007 at her son’s home, at age 87. She was born Jun 15, 1920 in Chicago and had resided in this area most of her life.
She worked and retired from MidMichigan Medical Center in 1985 after 10 years of service.
Shew as the first women in Michigan to receive the Silver Fawn Service award in scouting, was also active in the Brownies and Girl Scouts and loved to dance.
She is survived by five children: Janice Holdman, Gene Foote, Jeffrey Foote, Scott (Hallie) Foote, Lisa (Patrick) Bock and three grandchildren: Michael, Olivia, and Casey.
She was predeceased by her parents, one sister: Char Walky, a son George and a daughter Shery Ann.
A memorial service will be at 11 am Wed, Dec 26, at Aubern First Baptist Church, 4853 Garfield Rd Between U.S. 10 and Midland Rd Rev Ed R. Lawrence will officiate.
In keeping with France’s wishes, cremation has already taken place.
