Fora Yoder, 81, a resident of Kalkaska since 1985, died Sat, Apr 8, 2000, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mr. Yoder resided in Elkhart, IN prior to moving to Kalkaska. He was a mechanic at Nichols Bakery in Elkhart until his retirement in 1980. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and was a member of the American Legion and the Mennonite Church.
Mr. Yoder was born in LaGrange County, IN, on Oct 25, 1918, the son of the late Moses and Barbara Miller Yoder. He married Donna Otto in Hesperia, CA, on Mar 19, 1988.
Surviving are wife Donna; sons Patrick Barrick of Dayton, IN and Joe Yoder of Fresno, CA; daughter Carol King of Statenville, GA; stepchildren Tom Otto of Gaylord, Eva Konicki, Robert Otto and LuAnn Sandy, all of Grand Rapids. Obed Otto Jr of Sand Lake, Dan Otto of Portland, Richard Otto of East Tawas, Rita Haggerty of Chandler, AZ and Sulo Otto of Walled Lake; sisters Edith Yoder of Goshen, IN, Erma Miller of Middlebury, IN, and Mattie Schmucker of White Cloud; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Brother Orva Yoder preceded him in death.
Funeral services were Apr 10 at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska; Rev. Dottie Prim officiated. Burial will be at a later date at Lodi Cemetery, Kalkaska County. Military rites will be under the auspices of Land O' Lakes Post 8684 VFW.
