Floyd Joseph Webb, 78, of South Boardman, passed away on Fri, Nov 10, 2006, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center-LTC.
Born on Jun 14, 1928, in Kalkaska, he was the son of the late Thomas A and Ella F (Prough) Webb.
Floyd married Beverly J Birgy on Oct 1, 1950, in South Boardman. He was a veteran serving honorably in the US Army. Floyd was a member of the 324 Operating Engineers Union for 41 years. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed fly fishing, trapping beaver, and hunting. Floyd was a member of the South Boardman Senior Center. For many years, he was the Boardman Township grounds keeper, taking care of the cemetery and the ball park. He found much enjoyment in square dancing and he loved yard sailing.
Surviving Floyd are his children, Steven B (Laurie) Webb and Randall F. (Patricia) Webb, all of Fife Lake, James E (Kyle) Webb of South Boardman and Kelly J (Robert) Stein of Kalkaska; his grandchidlren, Steven Webb, Holly (Daniel) Larr, Amy (Scott) Reeves, William Webb, Christina Stein and Danielle Stein; his great grandchildren, Ronda Webb, Cynthia Webb, Gwendolyn Larr, Landon Webb, and Autumn Reeves; and his siblings, Betty Campbell of Nashville, TN, and Evert Webb of South Boardman.
Preceding Floyd was his beloved Beverly on Nov 4, 2000, and his grandson, Doug Webb on May 23, 2004.
Visitation was held on Mon, Nov 13 at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home. The funeral service was on Tue at 11 am with James E Webb officiating. Burial was at Boardman Township Cemetery.
