Florence R. Cleaver, 96, of South Boardman, passed away on Jun 13, 2004, at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire. She was born on Oct 3, 1907, in Eckford, the daughter of Burt and Sarah (Morgan) Rifenbergh.
Florence graduated from high school and attended college. She married Cleon Cleaver on Jan 2, 1926. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, tatting, and taking care of her flowers. Her passion was genealogy and hers was completed back to the 1300's. Florence had a great sense of humor. She was driving up until October 2003, when her health started to decline.
Florence was a member of the Lions Club for 20 years, 10 years as the secretary; a member of the New England Historic Genealogical Society; Society of Mayflower Descendants, and Boardman Area Senior Citizens Club.
Florence is survived by her daughter, Marjorie (James) Dunn-Sanderson of Rapid City; granddaughters, Patricia Rahn of Lewiston, Kathleen (Dale) Frederick of Detroit and Barbara (Michael) Carlisle of Kalkaska; 10 great grandchildren, and 13 great great grandchildren.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Cleon, and her brothers, Clare Rifenburgh and Kenneth Rifenburgh.
Her funeral service was held on Wed, Jun 16, at Wolfe Funeral Home. Interment was at Evergreen Cemetery.
