Florence Alma McKenna, 91, of Columbiaville, formerly of Detroit, passed away Sun, Feb 20, 2011. She was born Jan 5, 1920, in Bay City, daughter to Frederick and Bertha (Raeck) Jeffers.
Mrs. McKenna worked for many years as a secretary in the automotive industry. She attended St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lapeer.
She is survived by her children, Sharon L. Albrecht of Lapeer, Dennis F. (Rose) McKenna Sr. of Florida; daughter in law, Margie McKenna of NV; grandchildren, Dennis F. (Karin) McKenna, Jr of OH, James J McKenna Jr of NV, Casey C. McKenna of NV; and great grandchildren, Trey McKenna and Laurel McKenna.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theogene E. McKenna in 1979; son, James J McKenna, Sr; and parents, Frederick and Bertha Jeffers.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church School, 90 Millville Rd, Lapeer, MI 48446.
The family will receive friends, 4 to 7pm Thu, Feb 24, 2011 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer.
A private funeral service will be held for the family at the funeral home; Rev. John Kaiser will officiate. Burial will be at Glen Eden Lutheran Memorial Gardens, Livonia.
