Mrs. Melvin (Flora) Silvers, 51, of Mesick died Sun morning at Munson hospital, Traverse City, where she had been a patient for about a week.
She was born May 21, 1911, in Antioch township near here, the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Phillips. She attended Redner Spencer, and Oatley country schools as well as Mesick High School. She married Mr. Silvers in Apr of 1936 at Falmouth, MI.
The couple lived near Lansing for two or three years after marriage before returning to Mesick to make their home.
She is survived by her husband, a son, Tyrone of Grandville, MI; her parents and many other relatives and friends.
The body is at the Nugent Funeral Home, Mesick, and will be taken to Antioch Bible Church at noon Tue for services at 2pm with Rev. Albert Sundberg officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.
