Mrs. Fayette D. VanBuskirk, 60, of Kalkaska, died Thu, Apr 13, 1995, at East Pasco Medical Center in Zephyrhills, FL.
Mrs. VanBuskirk moved to Kalkaska County from Detroit in 1972, and spent her winters in Florida for the past 10 years. She was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, Land O'Lakes Post 8684 Auxiliary, the Betmar Shuffle Club, and a chareter member of Elks Lodge No 2731 in Zephyrhills.
Mrs. VanBuskirk was born in Detroit on Oct 30, 1934, to Earl and Dorothy Grant. She married James Zundel on Dec 24, 1952, in Detroit. He died on Aug 14, 1978. On Oct 20, 1984, in Kalkaska, she married Charles VanBuskirk who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Gerald Zundel, Thomas Zundel, and Steven Zundel; two step sons Dennis VanBuskirk and Jerald VanBuskirk; four sisters; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Toni Mathison, and one brother Dennis Grant. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am, Wed, Apr 19, 1995, at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church. Father Patrick J. Barrett will officiate. Burial will be in Coldsprings Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
The Rosary was recited Tuesday at the funeral home. Arrangements by Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska.
