Faye L. Harris, age 81, of Howe, IN, was called home by her heavenly father late Tue afternoon, January 10, 2017, at Miller’s Merry Manor in LaGrange, in the company of her family, following a brief illness. She was born Jun 10, 1935, in Millington, a daughter of the late Lewis and Vera (Sheridan) Osborn-Kinney. Faye moved from MI to FL and resided in Howe since 1972. On Jul 31, 1958 she married Lewis D. Harris Sr in MI. He died Apr 15, 1996. Mrs. Harris had been employed by the Howe Military School as a custodian as well as the Howe Post Office and the State Bank of Lima. In her later years, she worked at Town Square Restaurant, also in Howe. Faye was a member of Howe United Methodist Church and was an avid reader. Her favorite book to read daily was her Bible. She was a true prayer warrior for all and supported many Christian organizations monetarily and prayerfully. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and candy making. Many will miss her Christmas cookies and candy trays. In the summer, she could be seen swinging in her swing in the backyard and humming to one of her favorite hymns. She is survived by two sons, Lewis Harris Jr of Howe, IN and SFC Joseph (Arcella) Harris stationed in Hattiesburg, MS, with the US Army; a daughter, Ramona (Rian) McMaster of LaGrange, IN; nine grandchildren: Heather (Carlos) Harris Diaz, Amanda Hodson, Jordan (her fiancé: Ryan Stout) Harris, Brice Harris, Christopher Harris, Cassandra (CW2 Waitman) Kapaldo II, Rian A. (Chelsea) McMaster, Randon McMaster, and Reece McMaster; eight great grandchildren; and several niece and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Edward Osborn and Max Osborn; and a sister, Norma (Osborn) Orrison. Funeral services celebrating life of Faye L Harris will be held at 11am Mon at the church. The Rev. Jean Ness will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery in Howe.
