Ezra D. Parsons, 78, of Kalkaska passed away on Apr 10, 2006, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center's Long Term Care.
Born on Sep 29, 1927, in Ionia, he was the son of the late Newton and Elsie (Lovelace) Parsons.
Ezra was the beloved father of James Alan Parsons of Buckley, Bradley Scott (Ellia) Parsons of Tacoma, WA, John Leroy Parsons of Livonia, Richard Ray (Deborah) Parsons of Traverse City, Elsie Jean (Sidney Dean) Phillips of Buckley, Michael Dean Parsons of Buckley, Thomas Orum (Lynette) Parsons of Traverse City, and Naomi Ann (Matt) Wightman of Hesperia; loved brother of Robert (Norma) Parsons of Grand Ledge; and the mother of his children, Marilyn Durga, of Kalkaska.
Ezra served in the US Army. He worked in the logging industry and just enjoyed being outside. Ezra was a great outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a resident of Kalkaska since 1954.
A memorial service was held Thu, Apr 13, at the Kalkaska VFW Post No 8684 where Amos Graves, post chaplain, officiated.
