Everett Thomas Mero, Sr., loving husband of Rose Mary; loving father of Everett Jr, and wife Roxanne, Marvin and wife Lori, Nick and wife Ann; stepson, Jason Kage; many loving grandchildren, Rick, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Patrick, Kaden, and Reana; three very special nephews, Zachary, Michael, and Austin; brothers, Ivan Lee (Wilma) and Jim; sisters, Theresa, Evelyn, and Bernetta (Marvin); two special sisters in law, Elaine and Pat.
He was preceded in death by brother, Phil and parents.
Everett was a family man; he especially loved spending time with his wife. He had a passion for flying and was a fan of John Wayne movies. He was the commander of American Legion Post No 219 Fife Lake from 1984-85 and 1991-92 and a lifetime member as well. He was also a member of Moose Lodge No 531 in Cadillac, Aircraft owner & Pilots Association and the Michigan Sheriff's Association
Everett retired from Gosling-Czubak as an engineer.
Funeral service was held on Sat, Feb 24 at the Kingsley Chapel of Covell Funeral Homes with Pastor Linda Bridson officiating.
The Benzonia Chapel of McElduff-Jowett Funeral Homes & Cremation Service handled the arrangements.
