Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn M. Templin, 69, of 159 Fremont St., who died Tue as a result of an apparent suicide by drowning in the St. Joseph River, according to Coronor Marvin Riegsecker, will be at 11am, Thu at the Hartzler-Gutermuth Funeral Home. The Rev. John Miller will officiate.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm today at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Chapel of Memories, Rice Cemetery.
She was born August 12, 1912, in Hartford City. As Evelyn M. Slentz, she married Alva C. Templin, October 25, 1941, in Hartford City. He survives with two grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Flatter, Hartford City, Mrs. Hervey Bellemore, Leesburg, FL, and Mrs. (George) Hazel Spangler, Elkhart; and two brothers, Harry Slentz and Samuel Lanning, both of Hartford City. A daughter, Judy Ramer, and two grandchildren died in a 1976 house fire.
She retired from Excel Corp in 1977, after 30 years of employment.
Memorials may be made to the Heart Association.
