Evelyn Arlene Hogerheide, 89, of South Boardman passed away May 20, 2012 after a short illness. She was born in Kalkaska on Jun 4, 1922 to Carrie Belle (Bennett) Lamphere and Benjamin Lamphere.
Evelyn married Martin Hogerheide on Jun 28, 1940 and spent nearly 72 wonderful years with him. Together they raised three children, Dennis Doris and Kirk. She has six grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Martin and Evelyn spent several of their married years in New Mexico but retired to Michigan and have lived here for nearly 30 years.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and her son, Kirk Hogerheide.
She is survived by her husband Martin; her son, Dennis and her daughter, Doris Wagoner. She is also survived by grandchildren, Jeffrey Cox, Carrie Sandvik, Scott Hogerheide, David Hogerheide, Derek Hogerheide, and Christianna Mancha; great grandchildren Shauna, Michael, Daniel, Kortney, Cheyanne, Colton, Kyle, Makenna, Trent, Lanie, Alexandria, and Josiah; and great great grandchildren, Rhianna and Aiden.
Funeral services for Evelyn were held Tue, May 21 at 1pm at Kalkaska Funeral Home.
