Eunice Mary Julie Hollingsworth, age 93, long-time Beecher, WI resident, passed away peacefully November 24, 2014, at Dickinson County Hospital. She was born on December 5, 1920, in Dunbar; daughter of James and Philomene (Potier) McEwing.
Eunice married Claude “Buster” Hollingsworth on August 29, 1939, he preceded her in death. She was a member of the Crossroads Assembly of God Church, belonged to the Women’s Ministry, she also taught Sunday School and belonged to the Stitch and Chatter Club. Eunice also enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crocheting.
Eunice is survived by two children: Wanda (Richard) Osterberg of Florence, WI and Richard (Bonnie) Hollingsworth of Beecher, WI; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; four siblings: Phyllis Maher, Joyce Gustafson, Mary Hord, and Harold “Buck” McEwing.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two sisters, Janet and Genevieve and one brother Lester McEwing.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday November 26, 2014, at Crossroads Assembly of God Church in Beecher with Pastor Dave Paulsen officiating. Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at church on Wednesday. Interment will be in the Pembine Cemetery.
