On Jun 24, 2005, Eula A Gilbert completed the journey she began on May 16, 1916, when she was born in South Boardman to Clyde and Nina (Hart) Johnson.
A resident of Kalkaska County for most of her life, Eula worked in the Willow Run Bomber Plant during WWII and in several area industries thereafter. She enjoyed gardening and baking.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Bonnie (late Russell) Blissett of South Boardman; grandsons, Brad (Barbara) Blissett of Romeoville, IL, and Dough (Ruth) Blissett of Petal, MS; great grandsons, Michael and Matthew Blissett of Romeoville, IL, Benn Blissett of Traverse City and Ryan (Breanne) Blissett of Brookline, MA; great granddaughter, Jenni Blissett of East Jrodan; great great grandson, Cayden Blissett of Brookline, MA and great great granddaughter, Chiara Blissett of Brookline, MA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kenneth Johnson; sister, Doris (Jack) Suave; and husband Norman Gilbert.
Services have already taken place. Burial was at the Evergreen Cemetery in Kalkaska.
She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.
