Eugene R. Love, 58, of Kalkaska, died Tue, Jun 22, 1993, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mr. Love spent his early years in Kalkaska County, and moved to Port Huron in 1959. He returned to Kalkaska in 1985, following a medical retirement from the American Tape Company in Marysville. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the American Legion. Mr. Love was born in Kalkaska County on Aug 30, 1934, to Guy and Mary Kirkendall Love.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Guy Love, Jr, William Arthur Love, and Charles Love; and three sisters, Hally Louise Love, Vera Louise Love, and Minnie Louise Love.
Surviving are four sons, Erwin Love of Kalkaska, Scott and Clair Love, both of South Boardman, and Jimmie Love of Port Huron; two daughters, Deborah Harding of Avoca, and Tammy Love of Port Huron; one brother, Dennis Love of Burton; two sisters, Freda Thorne and Virginia Eves both of Kalkaska; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Fri, Jun 25, 1993, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Ken Doss officiated. Burial was in Boardman Township Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to the family in care of Freda Thome.
