Eugene J (Joe) Blow, 66, of South Boardman, died Mon, Nov 27, 1995, at his residence.
Mr. Blow moved to Kalkaska County 18 years ago from Union Lake. He retired from the U.S. Navy in 1963, following 20 years of service. He was later employed by Michigan Consolidated Gas Company until his retirement in 1994. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where he sang in the choir, a member of the Fleet Reserve, and was Post Commander of the South Boardman American Legion. He enjoyed crafts and camping.
Mr. Blow was born in Grand Rapids on Jan 11, 1929, to Warren and Flora (May) Blow. On Aug 20, 1949, in Elizabeth City, NC, he married Ruth Cook who survives.
Also surviving are son Rick Blow of Walled Lake; daughter Linda Beauchamp of Kansas City, KS; brother Warren Blow of Kalkaska; and four grandchildren.
One brother, Leo, and one sister, Eileen Loca, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Dec 1 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kalkaska. Rev. Ted Turanski officiated. Military rites will be under the auspices of Land O'Lakes VFW Post 8684.
Committal services were held Saturday at Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia.
