Eugene Edward “Gene” Hall February 22, 2017 passed away at the age of 92 after a long illness. Husband of 67 years to “his bride,” the late Edith (nee Jackson). Father of Richard (Deborah), Janice (Mark) Ziebell, and Carolyn (Duane) Thompson. Grandfather of Kristin (Michael) Myhre, Joseph Hall, Darek (Becca Lynn), Jennine Thompson, Christopher Thompson and Alina Ziebell. Great grandfather of Samuel, Sydney Myhre, and Alexis Thompson. Special Uncle to Beverly Hall and Wesley Hall. Son of Richard Herbert Hall Jr and Alta Mae (nee Jeffers). Preceded in death by his brothers John “Rob” (Leona) and Stanley (Marie) Hall of Washington State. Private services were held. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Greendale community Church appreciated. Gene was born in Oakville, Grays Harbor, Washington in 1924. He served in the Navy in the South Pacific during WWII and married his high school sweetheart, Edith, in 1947. He moved his small family to Wisconsin in 1957 due to the expansion of United Parcel Service here. They built their first home in Greendale, were members of the Greendale Community Church and the Village Club. They raised three children, all graduates of Greendale High School. Edith and Gene were world travelers, especially cruises. They continued to golf and bowl well into their retirement. Gene’s family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Hales Corners Care Center and Allay Hospice.
