Mrs. Ethel M Jones, 91, of Williamsburg, died the evening of May 12, 1998, at Meadowbrook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire.
Mrs. Jones was born in Manton on Nov 12, 1906, daughter of the late William and Alice Snell Long. She married Percy Jones in Plymouth on Jul 16, 1925. He preceded her in death on Feb 8, 1990.
Mrs. Jones resided in Dearborn prior to moving to Williamsburg 35 years ago. She was a 1925 graduate of Kalkaska High School, and a former member and president of the Elk Rapids Garden Club and the Circuit Bridge Club.
Surviving are son Roland (Jacqueline) Jones of Elk Rapids, daughter Audrey Lau of Rapid City, five grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
Siblings Florence, Lawrence, Frank, Jay, and two infants preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held May 15 at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Dan Herlein officiated. Burial was in Garfield Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
