Ethel L. Havens, 87, Warba, died Tue, Mar 17, 1998, at Golden Crest Nursing Home, Hibbing.
She was born September 26, 1910 in Marcellon, WI, the daughter of Anthony and Katherine Lee. She moved with her family to Jamestown, ND at the age five and then to Warba, shortly after where she farmed with her family. She married Paul Havens on Jun 14, 1928. She moved to Grand Rapids in 1986 and later to Golden Crest in Hibbing. She was a member of McGuire Lake Women’s Club.
She is survived by two sons, Russell Havens, Summersville, SC, and Larry Havens, Taconite; six daughters, Ramona McGuire, Jacobson, Donna Carey, Warba, Ellen O’Brien, Warba, Patricia Woody, Grand Rapids, Peggy Roberts, Kelly Lake, and Linda Winkleblack, Grand Rapids; 29 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Paul in 1960, a brother and sister.
Funeral Thu, Mar 19 at 11am at Libbey Funeral Home, Grand Rapids, with the Rev. Loren Anderson-Bauer officiating. Visitation is Wed from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
Burial, Itasca Calvary Cemetery.
