Ethel E. McClelland, Croswell, age 82, went home to the Lord on Wednesday, Sept 16, 2009 in her home.
She was born August 7, 1927 in Orion Twp, Oakland County, MI, daughter of the late Maurice E. and Rena Margaret (Moshier) Hotchkiss. She and James McClelland were married July 5, 1952 in Lake Orion. He died September 2, 1997.
Mrs. McClelland was a graduate of Oxford High School and Detroit Bible College with a major in Christian Education. She was an active member of the Community Baptist Church, taught Bible School and did missionary work. Ethel trusted God with every part of her life and believed God’s timing is right in everything in our lives. She and her late husband farmed and she did the bookkeeping for his appliance repair business.
She enjoyed doing puzzles, crosswords, and sewing.
Surviving are her children James R. (Sandra) of CA, Robert P. of Peck, Margaret (Thomas) Lashbrook of Croswell, and Susan (Rex) Munyon of WI. Her grandchildren Margaret A. (Chad) McMinis, James D (Erika) McClelland, Rebecca S. Lashbrook, Jessica R. (Chris) McClelland, Joseph M McClelland and Steven D. Munyon. Ten great-grandchildren and fifteen nieces and nephews. A sister, Mary (Eddie) Henson of WV.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, and brother Glen Hotchkiss.
Funeral Services will be 11 am Tuesday, Sept 22, 2009 at Community Baptist church, Croswell. The Rev. Rich Eckelbarger will officiate. Burial will be in the Croswell Cemetery.
