Mrs. Esther G. Haring, 86, of Kalkaska, died Mon, Jun 22, 1998, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mrs. Haring moved to Kalkaska 17 years ago from Owosso. She enjoyed quilting and hooking rugs.
Born in Coleman on May 31, 1912, she was the daughter of George and Nellie (Dunn) Graham, Jr. She married Clarence Cheney in Mount Morris Nov 28, 1936. He died in 1941. On Sep 17, 1947, in Clio, she married Gerald Haring, who preceded her in death on Jul 4, 1969.
Surviving are her step daughter in law Eleanora Haring of Lewiston; grandchildren Leo and Diane Haring of Owosso, Carol and Marv McVicar of Flint, Darla and Carl Bell of Kalkaska, Ann and Guy Tucker of Lewiston, and Ray and Judy Haring of Traverse City; niece Doris (Bud) Simmons of Grand Rapids; nine great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.
Step son Jerry Haring, two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Graveside services will be held at 1 pm Thu, Jun 25, at Mount Morris Cemetery in Mount Morris; Pastor Leo Haring officiating. Friends may call at the Wolfe Funeral Home from 2 pm to 8 pm Wed, Jun 24.
