Mrs. Esther E. Wolf, 77, of Midland, died Mon, Jul 15, 1996, at Mid-Michigan Regional Medical Center in Midland.
Mrs. Wolf had resided in Midland since 1947. She was a 1935 graduate of Cadillac High School, attended Wexford County Normal, and received her degree from Central Michigan University in 1940. She taught at the McCrory and South Boardman Schools, and from 1942 until 1946, was employed in the personnel office of Central Michigan University. She was associate member of the Midland County Retired Teachers Association, and enjoyed reading, attending high school and amateur sporting events, and harness racing.
Mrs. Wolfe was born in Excelsior Township of Kalkaska County on Oct 2, 1918, to Seth and Theresa Wolf Patterson. On Sep 6, 1946, in Wesleyville, PA, she married C. Wesley Wolf who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Patrick (and wife Peggy) of East Lansing; one sister, Phyllis Johnson of Alaska; one brother in law, Clarence Hudson of FL; two grandchildren, Tom and Terry Wolf; two nieces, and numerous cousins.
One daughter, Jean, and two infants preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Thursday, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Paul Karges, pastor of The Peoples Church, officiated. Burial was in Boardman Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
