Esther (David) Deman Bachmann, 82, of Kalkaska, passed away on Sun, Jul 20, 2008 at her home. She was born in 1926 in Detroit, the daughter of the late Clarence and Louise (Peterson) David.
Esther married Arnold Edward Demon on Sep 23, 1949. They moved to Kalkaska in 1970 from Inkster. Arnold passed away on Mar 9, 1973. On Jan 15, 1977, Esther married Hugo Bachmann. Hugo passed away on Oct 9, 1991. Esther was the owner of the Swiss Miss Beauty Salon in Kalkaska from 1973 to 1994. She was a member of the Eve Club of Kalkaska. Esther enjoyed playing bridge and belonged to the Birthday Bridge Club. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Esther enjoyed reading and sewing, and she produced many beautiful quilts.
Surviving Esther are her wonderful children, Dennis A (Renee) Deman of Frederic, Jeaneene L (John) Nooney of Kalkaska, and Gayle S. (Walt) DeBruyn of Montague; her precious grandchildren, Nettie Deman, Robert Deman, Natalie Deman, Sam Nooney, Emily Nooney, Jesse Nooney, Grand DeBruyn, Audrey Waldrep, and Sylvia DeBruyn; and 10 cherished great grandchildren.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband and father of her children, Arnold Edward Deman; her second husband, Hugo Bachmann; ans siblings, John David, Bernice David, and Amiel "Bud" David.
Visitation for Esther will be held on Tue, Jul 22, 2008 from 7 to 9 pm and on Wed Jul 23rd from 1 to 8 pm at the Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home. The funeral will be held on Thu, Jul 24 at 11 am at the funeral home with Reverend Matt Moser officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Kalkaska.
