Mrs. Erma R. Mitchell, 79, of Kalkaska and Shingleton, died Tue, Aug 29, 1995, at Munson Medical Center.
Mrs. Mitchell had lived in Kalkaska for 41 years after moving here from Big Rapids. Prior to her retirement in 1978, she had been employed as a nurse's aid at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center. She was a former member of the Rebekah Lodge, and enjoyed her grandchildren.
Mrs. Mitchell was born in Mecosta County on Jan 1, 1916, to Herbert and Hattie Pierce Kinsman. On Jun 26, 1938, in Barryton, she married Alfred Mitchell who survives. Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Herbert, Larry, and Steven Mitchell all of Kalkaska; 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two nieces, three nephews, and many friends.
Three brothers, Earl, Arthur, and Charles Kinsman, preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Sat, Sep 2, 1995, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. William Zelinko officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
