A native of Ossian, Erma A. Blair, 82, of rural Garrett, died Wed, Mar 10, at 7:15am at her residence.
Born November 25, 1921 to Frank and Mary C. Davis Helblig, she married Roger Blair October 27, 1940. He preceded her in death in 1988.
She worked at Cooper in Auburn as an assembler for 10 years. She had been a resident of Garrett for 42 years.
Survivors include three sons, Roger of Garrett, Tom of Fort Wayne and Berry of Bluffton; four daughters, Candy Morningstar of Garrett, Lola Pearson, Sandra Ormsby, and Mary Rochefort all of Bluffton; two brothers, John Helblig of Harrogate, TN, and Norman Helblig of Columbia, NC; three sisters, Katherine Ricken of Leesburg, FL and Virginia Hower and Lola Nyers both of Bluffton; 56 grandchildren, 74 great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Earl, Ronnie, Wilbur, Sherm, and Kenny Helblig; two grandsons and one great grandson.
Funeral services Sat at 11am will be at Thomas Funeral Home in Garrett, Tyler Sonnigsen will officiate and burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery in Ossian.
Calling at the funeral home will be from 2-6pm Fri and for one hour prior to services on Sat.
