Mrs. Emogene O. Pegg, 95, of Kalkaska, died Sat, Jan 16, 1999, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mrs. Peggy was a lifelong resident of Kalkaska County. she was a member of Evergreen Bible Baptist Church and Ladies Missionary Group. She enjoyed quilting and gardening.
Born in Kalkaska County on Dec 29, 1903, she was the daughter of Wakemann and Hattie (Collar) Sherwood. On Feb 26, 1928, in Allegan, she was united in marriage with Hallie Pegg, who preceded her in death on Apr 13, 1961.
Surviving are sister in law Mary Sherwood of Kalkaska; good friends Allen and Sharon Cross of Rapid City; and several nieces and nephews. Several siblings preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Jan 18, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska; Rev. William Kuiper officiated. Burial was in Lodi Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to the Evergreen Bible Baptist Church Missionaries.
