Mrs. Emma Louise Groner, 75, of Kalkaska, died Fri, Nov 3, 1995, at Munson Medical Center.
Mrs. Groner had been a lifelong resident of Kalkaska County. She was an active member of the Excelsior Church of Christ and the W.C.T.U. She formerly served as Excelsior Township Clerk. Her hobbies included crocheting, reading, and gardening.
Mrs. Groner was born in Kalkaska County on May 27, 1920, daughter of the late Glenn and Edith Gearhart Cotton. On Dec 22, 1939, in Kalkaska, she was married to Devere Groner who preceded her in death on Mar 12, 1985.
Surviving are one son, Stanley (and wife, Sandy) Groner of Kalkaska; three daughters, Mrs. Rick (Edith) Whitehead of Kalkaska, Mrs. William (Linda) Moore of Muskegon, and Mrs. Virgil (Nancy) Peterson of Mankato, MN; and five grandchildren.
One brother, Raymond Cotton, and one grandson, Corey Groner, preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Mon, Nov 6, 1995, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Virgil Peterson officiated. Burial was in Excelsior Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
