Mrs. Emma H. Walters, 83, of Kalkaska, died Thu, Sep 5, 1996, at Birchwood Nursing Center.
Mrs. Walters moved to Kalkaska in 1970, from Dearborn. She enjoyed word puzzles and game shows.
Born in Milwaukee, WI on July 30, 1913, she was the daughter of Henry and Sarah Hafer. On Aug 19, 1942, in Melvindale, she married Jonah Walters who preceded her in death on Nov 18, 1977.
Surviving are one stepson, Kenneth Walters and one stepdaughter, Frances Herrington both of California; and several step grandchildren, step great grandchildren and nieces.
Two sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Monday at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Paul Karges, pastor of The Peoples Church, officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
