Eloise Pomeroy Haney, age 82, died Sat, Jul 8, 2000 in Wellmont Hospice House, Bristol, TN, after a long illness.
She was born May 7, 1918 in Croswell, daughter of the late Elmer and Clara (Hanel) Pomeroy.
She graduated from Croswell High School in 1936 and Michigan State College in 1940. Mrs. Haney was a member of Preston Hills Presbyterian Church. She retired in 1987 from East Tennessee State University, Kingsport after 20 years service as a librarian.
Surviving are sons, Bruce Haney of Kingsport; and Kevin Cook Haney of Knoxville; a grandson; sister, Jean (Emery) Thibdaue of Grand Haven; brother, Fred (Margaret) Pomeroy of Croswell; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Usif S. in 1960; son, Mark; and sister, Hazel Pomeroy Cook.
Services were held at the Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
