Elmer Hunt, age 75, of Peck, died October 1, 2006 in the same house he was born. Elmer was born on December 23, 19300 to Charles and Mary Bell Hunt. He attended Shook Country School and married Patricia Bentley on August 27, 1966.
Elmer was a dairy farmer most of his life but had also worked for Mary Maxim for many years making their wood crafts. He was a member of the Willow Tree Golf Course and played on the Tuesday and Thursday League. He played fiddle, liked to dance and play cards and especially enjoyed his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Patricia; a daughter, Sheryl (James) Cribbins; and two grandchildren, Chelsea and Jimmy; four sisters, Lucile Hirons, Erva (Bill) Maitland, Nora Elston and Julia Smith and many nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Glen.
A gathering for family and friends will be held at Carman Funeral home in Brown City from 6 to 9p.m. today and from 2 to 9 pm Tuesday.
Funeral services will be conducted Wendesday from the funeral home at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jerry Griggs officiating. Burial will be held in Christian Memorial Cemetery.
