Ellen Ruth Dedene, age 82, of Brown City, died Friday, Feb. 4, 2005 in Saginaw and received her wings from God.
Ruth was born December 19, 1922 in Brown City to Earl and Frances (Clark) Cronce.
She graduated from Brown City High School in 1941. She worked as a switchboard operator for the phone company in Brown City and at Murray’s Airplane Plant in Detroit. In 1946, Ruth married Edward Dedene and helped him on the farm. She had been an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Brown City where she taught religious education classes for many years and was a volunteer for Project Blessing. She served as treasurer of the Over 50 Club.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ed; a daughter Betty McClelland of Sandusky, a son Edward A. Dedene of Brown City; six grandchildren; Pam(Bill) Thompson of Sandusky, Paul(Drema) McClelland Jr. of Croswell, Brenda(Don)Hartel Jr. of Applegate, Marsha Gibbard of Lapeer, Chad Dedene of Marlette and Brian McClelland of Sandusky; several great grandchildren; three sisters, Helen Wolvin, Lila (Jack) Roberts and Olive(Hank) Perry and several nieces and nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Leland, Julian(Jupe) and a sister Neva Meyers.
