Ellen E. Blanshan, 84, or Mancelona passed away on Aug 16, 2005, at the Tender Care Nursing Home in Gaylord.
Born on Jun 19, 1921, in Grand Haven, she was the daughter of Charles and Carrie Peck.
Ellen married Jack Clayton Parker, who was killed in an accident. Later, she married Allen Blanshan and he also preceded her in death.
Ellen was a waitress and cook at Ray's Restaurant in Kalkaska for many years. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and will be missed greatly.
Surviving Ellen are her children, Sandra Jean Parker of Mancelona, Allen M (Lee Ann) Parker of Johannesburg, Larry J (Linda) Parker of Gaylord, Tom S (Brenda) Blanshan of Kalkaska, Bill Blanshan of Houston, TX, and Paula Homan of Mancelona; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and her brothers, Ray Peck, of VA, and Don Peck of LA.
Preceding Ellen in death was her husband, Jack Parker; second husband, Allen Blanshan;and a daughter, Linda L Robinson.
The funeral service was held on Sat, Aug 20, at the Wolfe Funeral Home, with Dan Johnson of the Kalkaska Church of Christ officiating. Burial was at Evergreen Cemetery.
